# 4.1 The Oracle Problem: Bridging Two Worlds

The most difficult challenge for any decentralized prediction market is the "Oracle Problem"—the difficulty of bringing real-world data onto the blockchain without introducing a point of failure. Foresure solves this through a multi-layered, game-theoretic architecture known as the **Consensus of Reality**.

We do not trust a single source. Instead, the Foresure protocol aggregates data through a decentralized hierarchy. For standardized financial data (such as the price of Bitcoin or the CPI index), we integrate directly with **Decentralized Oracle Networks (DONs)** like Chainlink, which provide institutional-grade price feeds.
