# 3.3 The Convergence Logic: Solving Impermanent Loss

A major deterrent for liquidity providers (LPs) in DeFi is "Impermanent Loss" (IL). However, prediction markets offer a unique structural advantage: T**emporal Convergence**.

Because every market on Foresure has a definitive end date, the outcome tokens eventually converge to a value of either 1 or 0. The Equilibrium Engine leverages this convergence. It uses a "Symmetry Rebalancing" mechanism that allows LPs to effectively "Sell Volatility." Instead of worrying about the price divergence of two volatile assets, LPs on Foresure are essentially earning a spread on the market’s search for truth. When the market resolves, the "loss" becomes non-existent as the contract settles the final value based on verified reality.
